Rapid Instructional Design is a methodology that helps in designing the instructional materials within a shorter time frame. This methodology was developed by Dick and Carey in the year 1985 (Mager, 1997). It is also known as Straight Ahead Design or ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The steps involved in this methodology are as follows: analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation.
