This essay looks at three speeches given by leaders from Pakistan and Afghanistan who have all been affected by religious extremism. The speeches chosen for analysis are: Benazir Bhutto's speech "Address to the Nation", Pervez Musharraf's speech "The Enemy Within", and Hamid Karzai's speech "Tackling Extremism".
