Elderly Woman Attacked and Killed by Neighbor in Asheville

Police in Asheville, North Carolina have arrested a woman in connection with the death of her elderly neighbor. Rebecca Ruth Krueger is accused of attacking Margaret Jones Cable with a blunt object, causing severe head trauma. Cable later died of her injuries at Mission Hospital. Krueger has been charged with assault and voluntary manslaughter.
